Dust Storm on Mars

Dust storm over Viking Lander 1 site. The clouds are racing above the station. The image was taken at 640 km altitude and is centered 22.48N/47.97W. The box shows the position of the Viking Lander 1. The season in mid summer in the North hemisphere and water vapor is released from the Ice cap to the atmosphere.
