Pluto's surface shows dark markings, it is probably made of ice but not water ice, but ice of frozen nitrogen. The winds may sweep away the ice in some regions, leaving behind the dark markings. The double planet pluto and Charon may be like only one other planet in the solar system, that of the Earth and its moon.
